Itinerary

Your expert guide from Legend Egypt Tours will meet you at your hotel in Alexandria and accompany you to Cairo (about 2 hours drive) to start your day tour to the Giza Pyramids and Saqqara.

First, you will visit the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid of King Khufu, the Pyramid of King Khafre, and the Pyramid of King Menkaure, the three most famous pyramids in Egypt. You will also learn about their history and construction.

You will also explore the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple, built by King Khafre. Enjoy amazing photo stops at the Giza Plateau, and optional camel riding is available upon request.

After lunch at a local restaurant, the tour continues to Saqqara, one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt. Here you will visit the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the oldest stone pyramid in the world, built by the architect Imhotep.

You will also explore the tombs of the nobles and learn about ancient Egyptian life and burial traditions. The tour continues to the Serapeum of Saqqara (entry included), an underground complex with large granite sarcophagi used for sacred Apis bulls.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Alexandria or to Cairo International Airport.
