Evening Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids of Giza

Your evening starts with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at a time agreed with you in advance. From there, your tour leader travels with you in a private, air-conditioned vehicle toward the Giza Plateau, where the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure sit alongside the Great Sphinx.
As night falls, the show begins. Lights move across the three pyramids while a narrated history plays through the site's sound system, with the Great Sphinx serving as the narrator's central voice throughout. Evenings at the Giza Plateau get noticeably cooler than daytime temperatures, even in summer, so bringing a light jacket or sweater is worth it, especially in winter months. The seating area faces the pyramids and Sphinx directly, and the ground around the plateau is uneven in places, so comfortable, flat shoes are recommended over sandals or heels.
The show takes place outdoors regardless of most weather conditions; in the rare case of a cancellation on Aten Tours' side, our team will contact you directly to reschedule or arrange an alternative. Photography is permitted throughout the show, though flash photography may not carry well in the dark and isn't necessary given the lighting on the monuments themselves.
