The route runs roughly four hours from Cairo to Bahariya Oasis by air-conditioned car, then continues by 4x4 into the desert itself, with no other groups sharing your pace or your vehicle.
Along the way, you stop at El Haize, a small green oasis tucked into the sand, and Crystal Mountain, known for its quartz formations. From there the road opens onto Agabat Valley, where wind has cut the rock into ridges and hollows above gold dune fields, with the option to try sandboarding before you reach camp inside White Desert National Park.
You spend the night inside White Desert National Park, where wind-carved chalk towers turn orange, then pink, then white as the sun sets over the sand.
Dinner is cooked by local guides and served in the open, followed by a night under a sky with no city lights to compete with it—just tents, sand, and stars.
