After landing at Cairo International Airport, you'll meet your Egyptologist guide and head straight to the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Great Sphinx the limestone statue with a lion's body and a pharaoh's head that has faced the sunrise for over 4,500 years.
From Giza it's a short drive to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), built two kilometers from the Pyramids to house the complete Tutankhamun collection alongside more than 100,000 other artifacts from ancient Egypt, including the golden mask and gilded shrines that stayed in Egypt for the first time since the tomb was discovered in 1922.
After lunch, the day shifts from ancient Egypt to Islamic Cairo. Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in the Middle East, is narrow stone alleys lined with jewelers, spice sellers, and craft stalls. Nearby, the Salah El Din Citadel sits on Mokattam Hill with mosques and a view over the whole city.

Cairo Day Tour by Flight from Hurghada

Your day starts early with hotel pickup in Hurghada and a short transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to Cairo. The day closes in Islamic Cairo: stone gates and streets dating to the 10th century, the Khan El Khalili bazaar (established 1382), and tea at El Fishawy, one of Cairo's oldest cafés. You'll fly back to Hurghada in the evening with hotel drop-off included.
